Vitamin R

What is vitamin R? You may have heard of all of the famous vitamins such as vitamins A, B, C, D, and E. Yet, you may not have heard of vitamin R. The reason for this is because vitamin r is also vitamin B10. You may wonder why we use this complicated naming convention for vitamins. The truth is that it wasn’t confusing until scientists gained enough knowledge to realize that some of the vitamins they had previously though were separate, were actually different forms of the same vitamin.

Vitamin R and ADHD.

That is why there are so many B vitamins. This is also why some vitamins are called by different names by different people. Some using the original names and others using their modern names. Vitamin R is simply B vitamins mixed with pteroylmonglutamic acid.

Now, this was first discovered in chicks. You see vitamin R deficiencies in chicks proved to cause slowed growth and deteriorated feathers during the chicks development. It was also found to cause blood problems in the chicks.

Now, what does that mean to humans? Well, the fact is that we don’t have evidence to prove that it affects us at all. In fact, some scientists do believe that vitamin R deficiencies do apply to humans as well. However, at this time there is no evidence to support that theory.

Grade Enhancing Drugs?

However, para-aminobenzoic acid or PABA, which is a component of pteroylmonglutamic acid, was also once considered a vitamin. Although, it was later said to lack the properties of a true vitamin because humans lacked the ability to synthesis folate from PABA, it is still popularly used as a sunscreen. As a sunscreen, PABA protects the skin from harmful ultra violet radiation. PABA is also found in some Vitamin B supplements and multivitamins as well. It is found in foods such as grains and meats.
